Dr. Sarat Chandra has delivered a talk on 26th March about a new anti-diabetic drug called SEMAGLUTIDE which is recently made available in INDIA in tablet form. The talk was given at the annual conference of the cardiologists’ forum of TELANGANA. This drug has been shown to bring a lot of benefits to patients who are diabetic with cardiac problems.
This drug can be used to control high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. It is effective when it is used with a proper diet and exercise program. High blood glucose levels can cause progressive and long-term damage to the body. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to nerve problems, kidney damage, loss of sensation in limbs, heart diseases, and sexual dysfunction. Controlling blood sugar levels help prevent all these problems. Semaglutide is also used in people with type 2 diabetes and heart disease to lower the risk of death from a heart attack or stroke
